Yorkshire Regional Acrobatic & Tumbling Gymnastics Competition 2008
The Pre-Grade level gymnasts competed at the John Charles Centre of Sport, Leeds and the National Grade level gymnasts event was held at the Metrodome at Barnsley.
Diamonds Gymnastic Club brought the 2008 competition season to a dazzling conclusion with a brilliant haul of 32 medals in all sections.
Gymnasts aged from 7 to 18, performed with great skill in the Yorkshire Regional Championships 2008 and were rewarded for their months of hard work on their tumbling skills and floor routines. The event included all the Acro & Tumbling clubs in the Yorkshire Region. The club came away as gold medal winners in 9 sections and also collected 15 silver and 8 bronze medals.
The coaches at the club are really proud of the gymnast’s achievements, but are already preparing the group for the major event of the year, the NDP Yorkshire finals in March. This competition will lead the gymnasts to the British National Finals 2009.
