National Development Plan Finals Fenton Manor Stoke 2007
In the National Grade 1 Mixed Pair section Tom Jordan and Alicia Haycock were a tenth of a point away from a gold medal with a brilliant routine combining partner balances and tumbling skills. The pairs silver medal cemented the club's position as a club able to compete with the elite teams in the country. Toby Greenhough and Sopie Rane were within a whisker of gaining a medal with a near perfect routine and finished in 4th in the same section.
Samantha Pattinson and partner Beth Hiley impressed the judges with their floor routine finishing 7th in National Grade 2 Women's Pairs. Rebecca Mallas and Eden Mellor performed well and were placed 12th in a quality field of competitors in the National Grade 1 section.
In the Women's Group National 1 section Shanice Rostampour, Rebecca Mallas and Eden Mellor finished in 12th position in a fiercely competitive section. The standard at this years event was high and the gymnasts from Diamonds had to be at their best when performing.

Gymnasts from the Acro Squad also took part in a recent City of Leeds Gymnastic Festival Event. They were very well received and came away with a Certificate for their technical performance. They were also nominated as the best display by a small group and gained the shield on display at the gym. |
